A trip to the Furzefield

Yesterday we went on our trip to the Furzefield Centre.  We walked carefully in pairs, waiting for the adults to tell us that it was safe to cross the road.

When we arrived we had lots of fun on the play equipment.

We then went inside the café and each bought our own drink.

We had another quick play outside before we walked back to school. A massive thank-you to all of our parent helpers!  We hope you had as much fun as we did.

Visiting the guinea-pigs

This week the children have been to visit the school guinea-pigs Theo and Ozzy.  They learnt all about how to look after them and what they eat and drink.  They were very careful and gentle when they held them on their laps.  A big thank-you to the Year 6 monitors who helped us and gave us lots of interesting information.

We also had a visit today from our patron of reading, Tamsyn Murray who read us the really funny book ‘Oi frog.’  We loved hearing where all the animals had to sit that rhymed with their names and we all chose our favourite bit.  I liked the part where the part where the lion sat on the iron!
